Happiness is: Contest Loot, Contest Winners, Super Clean Carpet and NO SNOW!
Today is a day of happy things. Because I feel like it. It is Saturday, after all.
Have you read this post, about how awful my carpet looked? It was embarrassing! So much so, in fact, that I wouldn't let people come over.
And now, after my friendly Stanley Steamer Carpet Cleaner paid me a visit, this is what it looks like.
It makes me SOOOO happy because I don't have to feel quite ashamed. Don't get me wrong, my house is still pretty messy at times, but at least it doesn't look disgusting.
And...I got part one of my loot from Kspin. She had a What Makes You Happy contest and I won!!
I had to fight the mailbox to get it. Apparently Mailbox knew there was some great loot in it and refused to give it up. After a exhausting battle I finally dislodged it from Mailbox, stuck my tongue out at him and walked off triumphant with the package in my hand. The package did suffer some war wounds, but everything was intact and all was right with the world.
She sent me a bunch of super cool things to help me with my goals, like a nutrition bar (that I keep telling myself I'm not going to nibble on until Monday morning after my run), some energy boosting jelly beans, Strawberry Kiwi Propel pack (which I LOVE), The Four Agreements, a book I've been curious about and a super cute card! I heart kspin.
Finally, the thing most of you have been looking forward too all week long: The winner of the 8-week Challenge contest!
HB and I put all the names in the hat and the winner is.......
THE WINNER IS......
I SAID THE WINNER IS....
If you haven't joined our 8 Week Challenge, go check out the Let's Get Fit topic. It's not too late to join this crazy train to wellness.
To make things a bit easier for all of us to encourage and follow each other's progress we're now going to use Mr. Linky for the Tuesday Mid-Week Check-in.
If you're going to post an update on your blog, link to your blog from ours and we'll all stop by to cheer you on. HB might even do a cartwheel for you. If you don't have a blog (or don't want to blog about your progress), just leave a comment on our blog like you usually do. We're easy around here.
This post has taken me literally 4.5 hours to write. I am on Day One of my weekend flying solo AND I'm watching Sister HB's kid, Logan. I'm also trying to ignore the sound of the candy calling my name. We'll see if my willpower holds up, but so far I think I'm feeling pretty good about it.
Leading this challenge with HB has really helped me stay motivated. So, keep up the work and have a great weekend!
What's that? You want to comment? Just click on the itty-bitty words below that say "Gimme Some Sugar". Can you see them? Good. We can't wait to chat with you.
