I'm Not Something to Eat!

That was Kiki's funny and angry exclamation after Boogs bit him. So simple and so true.

Speaking of eating, I was a scaredy cat this week. I DID NOT want to weigh in. I debated using my get out of jail card-a skip a weigh in pass. I had decided to not weigh in, I was going to skip it. Even though Jim told me to do it.

But this morning, oh wonderful morning, on a whim I tried on a skirt that is a size smaller than I wear...and it zipped all the way up! So I tested the scales and was down another 1.5 lbs for a total of 13.8! So all is well in Sassyland.

Anyone else almost hide for fear of failure, only to be pleasantly surprised? Don't you love that feeling!

Yes! I applied for a college loan for my daughter, totally expecting to be denied because of our credit.

Last night, there was a very thin letter from them in the mail, and I was sure it was a rejection so I tossed it. And then on a whim, about an hour later, I fished it out of the garbage and it was an ACCEPTANCE. I can't even believe it.

YAY CANDY! It never hurts to try, right? To not try and fail by default is a bigger failure than giving it your best shot.

Um...yeah. Let's just say that fear does crazy stuff to our reasoning skills! I think you know what I mean! I'm done with fear. Ready to jump head first into whatever!

Awesome job with the weight loss and working out! You ROCK!

I am that way sometimes about phone calls. I don't want to hear the bad news whatever it may be. Most of the time, it's nothing.

Hi Sassy; way to go ! :)
I know how you are feeling; I picked up some extra lbs last winter. I'm just shedding off, little by little.
What a goooood feeling; in the skirts again ! I made it too, last month ;)

Losing weight is actually terribly easy, all you have to do is eat less and exercise more. Simple! So it's weird that it's one of the hardest things for people to do. :-)

I can say this now because I managed to get a grip of myself too. If you know it's easy to lose weight then sometimes it's harder to actually start doing it...
