JACKSON, Miss. - Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was injured in a car accident late Sunday night and is in a hospital in

Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Kathy Stringer said Freeman, 71, is in serious condition. The hospital is about 90 miles north of the accident scene in rural Tallahatchie County in the Mississippi Delta.

...When one person tried to snap a photo with a cell phone camera, Freeman joked, "no freebies, no freebies," McFerrin said.

Its disgusting that someone cared so little, had so little respect, that they tried to snap a picture of a gravely injured man while he was being extracted from his car.  Sad commentary.

I like Morgan Freeman, I do hope he pulls through.

I love Morgan Freeman. There was once some survey done where people were asked to pick who they'd want for President. The choices were between the current runners - it must have been for the last election - and Morgan Freeman. Mr Freeman won the vote hands down :-) Hope he fully recovers very soon.

Ironically, my son and I watched the Bucket List the night Morgan Freeman had his accident. We LOVED this movie, and of course, we pray he'll experience a full recovery.

I admire his sense of humor in such a situation. I would have been screaming for the inconsiderate a-hole to shove their phone.
