Desperate Housewife In Search Of

a recipe. And I know I'm not a housewife, but I am a desperate woman whose family will be hungry today.
I saw the perfect recipe in Blogville yesterday and I'm hoping you can help me find it. I thought I saved this talented writer's blog to my favorites so I could easily refer to it today. I didn't. I'm an idiot. But, you would have found that out soon enough anyway.
This recipe includes ground beef and canned minestrone soup. Now, I know it doesn't sound all fancy as is, but she had some other tastiness thrown in and then recommended still other variations to prepare it.
That is what I was planning to serve for dinner today with some delicious crusty french bread and a beautiful salad. And wine. Always wine, no?

And baby, it's cold outside. Our winter wonderland up here in God's Country aka Traverse City, Michigan got hit with some snow. We were going to play outside today and then come in to warm up with some nice, hot, hearty soup.
So please. For my son. And my husband. And, well for me. If you have seen it, know the blog of which I speak...help a sister out. I'll owe you one.

If you're like me and my poorly fed children you'll just pop in some frozen chicken nuggets and call it good. Good luck finding, don't know that I can help you though.

I'm going to go see if have enough stuff to make Chicken noodle soup.

This is certainly not the blog you are looking for since you actually make the minestrone but it sounds luscious and they are using the same blogger template as you. I feel this is a sign and you should make this soup:

I, um, suppose you already looked in your Yesterday or Saturday sites in your Internet History folder?? Only naughty people clear it every day :)

I just found your site and love that sisters are blogging, too fun. Could you give me a blog update on the 10 week challenge. It is a great idea and I might try it with some of my friends.

Ok,
I did my best and here is what I found:
Cowboy Soup

2 lb. Ground Beef (cooked with onions and drained.) I used 1 lb ground beef and 1 lb ground sausage. This was the first time I had done that, but we liked the outcome.
2 cans Ranch Style Beans
3 large cans Minestrone Soup
1 soup can water
1 can Rotel
16-24 oz. Velveeta

Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Cook on low all day. (This time, since it was for lunch, I cooked it on high ~3 1/2 hours.)

This was at: http://tdlough.blogspot.com/2008/01/go-tigers.html

Or
Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef or turkey (browned)
1 can rotel (for those who are unsure what this is, it is a combo of diced tomatoes and green chilies)
2 cans of ranch style beans
1 can of Campbell's minestrone soup

I combine all the above ingredients in a crock-pot and cook for a couple of hours on low so that the flavors have a chance to combine and make a yummy soup! I serve with sweet cornbread muffins (the sweet really balances out the spicy of the soup). This recipe came from my mother-in-law, RAD, and is one of my husband's favorites.

And this was at:

One more
Chili Soup

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 med. onion - chopped
3(10 3/4-oz.) cans Campbell's condensed minestrone soup
1 -14 1/2 ounce can stewed tomatoes
1-10oz. can Rotell tomatoes
1-15 1/2 oz. can chili beans
3 soup cans of water

Brown together ground beef and chopped onion. Drain thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients. Mix together. Simmer for 10 minutes.
16 - 1 cup servings.

And this was at:

Sorry I have to go take really good medication now that prohibits me from operating heavy machinery, and I say that this antique computer is pretty heavy, so bye Sister Honey Bunch.

Ok,
So I really am out of it and I meant to give you my tip.
Go to google.com In the upper left corner it says: Web, Images, Maps... more. Click on the word more and you get a drop down menu. Now click on Blogs. You are now at a page where you can search blogs and since google owns blogger it searches mostly blogger blogs
Gotta go now sis, hope I helped.

Given how much work and toil and research went into this, I can't wait to hear about how the recipe turns out.

And now I'm off to continue my own efforts to feed my family tonight: pot roast with mushrooms, roasted potatoes and carrots, and salads.
