Heath Ledger Quits Us

Heath Ledger died today at age 28. He leaves behind his daughter Matilda Rose who was born in October of 2005.

He starred in such films as Brokeback Mountain , The Brother's Grim and my favorite, 10 Things I Hate About You.

Ledger was rumored to have been found in Mary Kate Olsen's apartment. I can't find anything to back that claim up, so I am leaving it at that. A rumor.

He was found on the floor naked with sleeping pills surrounding his body.

RIP Heath. We hardly knew ye.

Hey girl, just wanted to come visit at your place. I'm such a homebody I haven't seen any of those movies.

You look like the life of the party! I just love people like you. Love your blog name, tag line and your pretend name!

do you suppose he meant to die? Poor little daughter and Michelle Williams... ugh... I hope this is like when they said Zack Morris (from Saved by the Bell) was dead. It was on the radio and my math teacher even came in and told us that he died. But he didn't. I'll hold out some hope.

Nester-thanks for stopping by. Your blog is now one of my favorites.

I have only seen 10 Things I Hate About YOu, but I always had alot of respect for Heath Ledger because he didn't seem to be the typical Hollywood party boy/playboy. He seemed like such a nice guy.

Sassy, he's been pronounced dead and is being autopsied. Give up the hope.

I read he was found in his own apartment and that he'd had a lot of trouble sleeping lately. I hope it was an accident and not suicide.

It seems that portraying the Joker in the upcoming Batman movie really messed up his head, and he was having trouble sleeping as a result. I read he would take two Ambien and get about one hour of sleep off of it. He couldn't stop "thinking". I'm assuming he just took too many. When I first read it I was really sad. I've seen a couple of his movies and thought he was great. And a cute little girl too...he's not very old either. Sigh.

I was shocked when I heard!
I'd only seen him in Brokeback, but I think he's in the new film about Batman, The Dark Knight, that is coming out.
I feel bad for his little one too.
I read the same info you did, naked, pills, possible overdose, and yes, he was subletting MK's apt.
But then I saw something else from his family that said he had pnuemonia and may have gone into cardiac arrest from the sleeping pills and other meds, but it wasn't on purpose.
Who knows? I don't even pretend to understand these Hollywood folks.

Okay so, in the last 24 hours I figured out that I was the only person in America that didn't know who this man was.

I had to come back and say that now, I do know who he is, you know, after I embarrassed myself with my ignorance and all.

Have you ever heard of some show called United States Idol or something? Sounds saccreligious.

okay, i also just figured out that you probably don't know me well enough yet to know that I have seen that show. way too much. just trying to be funny.

Oh, Nester. I've been at your place enough to know that you are very funny.

I really like him in the "patriot" with Mel Gibson and also he was great in "A Knoghts Tale". Both are movies I purchased. I drew the line at Brokeback. Don't mess with the reputation of cowboys. If there are those who go the other way, I do not want to know about it. It is sad to see anyones life cut short.

IMHO Ledger's BEST movie was "The Order".

The film was spooky, sexy, mysterious and made SUCH good use of HL's beautiful voice. (I'm all about the voice)
