New Found Blove! or Bluv?

Blove....true Blove is what brings us together... What is BLove? Its Blog Love. Should it be Blove of Bluv? Funny thing, I learned that Blove is urban slang for Big Love. As in "I Big Love you Homie". So I guess it might apply here in an urban slang sort of way too.

I've recently discovered a few new blogs that I really enjoy when I have the time to enjoy something other than working, blogging and chasing after my kiddos.

First, Soc Prof has a really great blog that tells me all the things I don't have time to find out on my own, but want to know. Like that the Taliban has come to a truce with Pakistan and how Afghanistan is slowly taking more and more rights away from women. Check her out, she's smart and a sociology professor so she knows her stuff. I just found that she has a more informal blog on wordpress, you can link to it from her main site.

Secondly, Catatonic Kid She blogs about living with depression and PTSD in a compelling way. I don't struggle with depression but have friends who do so I find her insight really useful. She also has a page of creative works like poems and lyrics. I've read some of her stuff and find it very moving.

Finally, Soapbox mom wrote a WONDERFUL post yesterday about parents helping their kids too much and not letting them learn things on their own. This was a little centering for me because I think I could easily lean in the direction of protecting my kids from everything. I try to be balanced and not hover, but she totally reminded me to be mindful about it. You should definitely go read this post.

Of course I'm not forgetting all you much loved bloggers that currently live on our blogroll. You guys are still great reads. I usually am checking in on you even if I'm not commenting. As you may know, I recently got smacked down by the server guy so I secretly read blogs by putting the Google Reader Gadget on my Google Homepage so I can look to be sitting on my browser when really I'm reading you. I just can't comment ;)

Wow, that makes me look like a total slacker, I do work, it has just been a bit slow lately. And when I say a bit, I mean A LOT.

And that, my friends, is Saturday's post. I have to go walk 6 miles and watch Kiki play his first Soccer game. Wish me luck!

What's that? You want to comment? Just click on the itty-bitty words below that say "Gimme Some Sugar". Can you see them? Good. We can't wait to chat with you.

Yay for BLove! It's a pretty looking word. So here's me sending some back with big thanks! =)

Cheers for reading too since I know I don't always have that much spare time for the blogs I like either so I appreciate your taking the time and care.

I'm going to check out my fellow 'BLove' postees now.

I just got back from my walk, it was GREAT! I feel so good about having worked out for a cause! I got to have good conversation with a woman from my church.

AND I got to drop Sister HB's name to the team for the place she wants to work. Just happend to be the two ladies who interviewed her.

I love finding a new good blog. I don't fall in blove easily though. {tee hee}

Kudos on your walk! And how great you got to get in a few good words about HB! I've still got my fingers crossed for her!

Lol, you didn't know? It was right after we started our blog and I would excitedly check it and the stats to see what was going on.

THen I got an email literally titled "big brother is watching" saying to cut it out or he'd have to bring it to the attention of management. He sent it to everyone, but I know it was to me. he even said "you know who you are!" lol! me!!

grrr... anyway, so when HB calls me and tells me she can't figure out how to get the code to work right and can I just do it...I REALLY can't! I try to keep any blog stuff to just tiny little 1/2 minute spurts here and there.

Thanks for the Blove/Bluv whichever it is.

Just so you know the "New Soc Prof" blog is not mine. It belongs to another soc prof.

It's a great blog, worthy of everyone's time, but it's not mine.
