Thin Down Thursday?

Thin down Thurdsday?... Honey Bunch just let me in on the secret that today is Friday. Doh! So its the Getting Fit Friday? Feeling Fit Friday? Physically less Frumpy Friday?

For about the last 6 weeks I have stopped eating my feelings. If I get crabby I don't go look for food anymore. I've been doing weight watchers and I've lost 8.2 lbs! I'd be more excited about that loss except it seems that I'm loosing it all in my fingers. Not kidding, my ring is constantly falling off.

My co-worker joined me in my WW splurge and every Wednesday we sneak out of work and scurry to the car, being sure to leave a few seconds apart so no one will pick up on what we do. We chit chat about our fear of the scale, whether we'll be scared if our meeting leader weighs us (I was) and how late I'm making us be because of my last minute need to try to lose a little extra weight by running to the bathroom.

Her companionship on this journey has been invaluable. We feel sorry for each other if we want chocolate, but get excited when we discover low point chocolates. We share food sometimes and when I avoided the Upside Dump Cake at HB's house I texted her to tell her so. I also texted her about how my mean JimmyEW made me feed him apple pie in the car, knowing full well I couldn't eat it. Lol.

But mostly I have learned not to eat my feelings, how to pack as many fruits and veggies into every meal so I can feel full, how YUMMY the WW frozen sundaes are and that a slice of store bought carrot cake is just.not.worth.it. Really, put the fork down and back away.

Just thought I'd share. I've noticed a few different bloggers around bloggy land joined WW right around the same time as I did, so its nice to know I'm not alone.

Anyone else continue their 6-week challenge?

And here is a picture of me with my wonderful friend, and goddess mother to my children. It shows my slowly shrinking face well. And I have this thing about me that I can't help. I can't NOT post a picture with each post. I don't know why, I just can't.

Please don't feel any sort of need to comment. I came in here to take the picture off because I was afraid people would think I wanted them to say "Oh, you look so much less haggared, less bloated" but then Shalee made a nice comment about it and I'm sure people would be confused and think she was crazy if there was no picture there. I wouldn't want to make anyone think Shalee is crazy, so I'll leave it with this disclaimer.

What's that? You want to comment? Just click on the itty-bitty words below that say "Gimme Some Sugar". Can you see them? Good. We can't wait to chat with you.

I'm not on WW, but I have realized of late that I eat when I'm bored. Stopping that is hard, but hopefully it will help with the spreading of my tush!

The above picture is GREAT, btw, and congrats on the loss of 8 lbs!

I started WW's on Wednesday of this week. I've gotten the gym habit going, now I need to get the food habit working.

Hang in there! Don't let the chocolate eat you. Chocolate is the only reason why I tend to fail in my attempts to lose weight. It should be made illegal.

I always start to lose weight on my fingers first - rings, husbands etc. But now I'm beginning to retrieve my waist after starting to use Herbalife again. I know, I'll probably die of liver failure but at least I'll die thin.

Cute picture, I love blogs with pics and I plan to put a lot in mine. But which one is which??

I was just talking about how good you look with Rachel (at Mustards) today. She knew I was your sister as soon as she heard my voice.

Be careful Helena, I know a guy who never drank who died of liver failure... uh, he's prob in his 50s but did Herbalife. I thought it was interesting because right as I heard about his health someone in bloggy land commented about Herbalife and liver issues. I had no idea. I wonder if his was because of that.

And I'm the one on the right, the girl on the left is skinny mini and runs marathons lol. :)

You make me feel bad as I know that I should be doing the same thing. I currently weigh more than I ever have my whole life. What is bad id I know I need to start but I just never do.

Aw Wade, I was way over weight for years and years. you just have to decide to do it. There are some men in my WW meetings, maybe you should try it out. I like it because you can eat anything, just in moderation.
