This Brings Me Great Joy

It's no secret that I loves me some Beverly Hills 90210. Nor is it a secret that I was giddy-GIDDY!-when I learned that Jenny Garth signed on to star in the NEW 90210 series.
You can imagine then, how I fell to my knees in praise when I read the following story in people.com.

The Peach Pit just got a whole lot more interesting.
Shannen Doherty, the
bad girl of ’90s Hollywood, is in talks to reprise her role as good girl Brenda Walsh in the Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff, EW.com reports.

Doherty, who was reputedly difficult on set and frequently clashed with her costars, was fired from the original show in 1994.

Currently, the main things standing in the way of the return of Brenda Walsh would be her demand for more money and to be clued in on the plotlines of The CW’s new version of the primetime teen soap.

“She wants to know what the story is going to be first,” EW.com quotes a source as saying.

Others returning to West Beverly Hills High School in their former roles include
Tori Spelling, 35, and Jennie Garth, 36, with whom Doherty, 37, allegedly once engaged in a fistfight. –Michael Y. Park

I am right there with you! I loves me some 90210 and I am SO happy the show is coming back. I'm even happier Brenda could be back with it.

You make me laugh so hard! :0)

You know..she was on Charmed too, and I think she got the axe for being a drama queen on that show too.....do you think she's learned her lesson?

I'm pretty sure she and Rose McGowen didn't get along on Charmed, or maybe it was Alissa Millano. One of them didn't work well with her. SHe is a drama queen.

Personally I hate 90210, I couldn't bring myself to really watch it. I was way more into the steamy undertones of pent up sexual frustration between Scully and Mulder. I'll take weird Sci-fi any day!

I hope the guys will be one, as well!

Andrea? Who cares?!!

They were in MY grade (class of '93), so I hope they don't try to make them moms of teenagers, because they're only supposed to be 33!

I'm with Sassy on this one. You would have to tie me to a chair and threaten my firstborn to get me to watch this show or any of its ilk.

I agree - no teen children of these gals.

Brenda should be the guidance councilor at the high school.
