Fashion Non-Sense

Do you ever wonder about why some people wear what they wear and why they do it?? I'm sure we've looked at a sect of people who are unlike us, Goth kids, punk, Hip Hop, Preppie what have you and thought to ourselve "I can't believe they left the house wearing that". Well today as I pulled into the library I had a similar thought. There was a young man wearing the clothes that you would see someone trying to represent the Hip Hop culture wear. I'm sure you already know what I'm talking about, the baggy pants. Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against someone having their boxers hanging out, heck if my sweater wasn't long enough to cover my ass many people would have the misfortune of seeing my own butt crack (thanks to a too big belly and a too flat butt). But this guys pants weren't just exposing the top of his boxers but were all the way down past his butt to the top of his thighs.

He was shuffling along on his way in, I thought briefily the shuffle was because if he walked normaly his pants would be in danger of completely falling down. I think I noticed him actually holding them up with one hand. But really, the overwhelming thought in my head was OMG this is Northern Michigan boy and ISN'T YOUR ASS COLD?? Seriously, Hip Hop aside and ignoring the origin of the baggy pants being from prison culture- what about having a cold ass? At what point do you compromise your need to represent with the need to keep your ass warm?

Oh well, as I walked in I saw him seated by the phone and he unmistakably made a cat call whistle as I walked by. Are you kidding me? With the way I looked lol! Oh well, at least my sweater was covering my ass-crack.

Over and out!

Well, as I was preparing for my 10 Week Challenge "before" pictures, I put on a pair of track pants. I had some butt-cleavage myself. It wasn't pretty. I changed so as not to gross out and/or offend the photographer. I'm nice that way.

I LOVE the blog, hope this propels you two to stardom, though I think it will take more than a good pair of ass cleavage.

Some people are willing to fight for their right to show butt cracks. http://www.local6.com/news/14957504/detail.html

I had a student last year (260 lbs, 8th grader) who kept baring his ass crack. Finally, I told him that if I saw it one more time through the back of the chair he sat on, I would take a photo and hang it up on the bulletin board in the hallway. I don't think he believed me, but the next day, I took the photo and showed it to him and the class (disgusting!). It worked!! We never saw his butt crack again, thank God! Thanks for the funny memory, though :)

Ok, so I see alot of butt-cleavage at work and it ain't so pretty. There are some big girls (and boys) wearing tight pants with half their butt showing. Keep in mind I am in the lunchroom trying to eat my mac and cheese when I see this. It could almost make me not want to finish it, but fortunately, I can finish the kraft yumminess!

That is soooo funny! I'm not that old...34...well, to me it's not that old and I can't for the life of me understand what's cool about your pants around your thighs and having to contantly hold on to your crotch to keep the pants from falling all the way down. Nothing about that seems cool!! We live in the great state of Texas and in a large city and it's very popular here. I just don't get it!
